Who is Dr. Wozencraft?
I am a native South Louisianian born in Houma. I attended Nicholls State University for my Bachelor’s degree and University of Southern Mississippi for my Master’s and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. I have practiced in both Texas and Mississippi in the early years of my training and career. I have always loved working with children and adolescents. Starting as a teenager with babysitting, teaching religious education to children and teens, and giving birthday parties, I developed what would become a long-term passion for working with youth. During my internship at the New Orleans VA, I learned that I enjoyed working with adults and helping them to enjoy better mental health. I am a believer in intervening as early as possible, building on the strengths of my clients and their parents/family, and taking into consideration all aspects of the life of my client - social, cultural, school, family, friends, community, and media.
